I have never seen better unity in the team before: Shaharyar Khan

Praising skipper Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Shaharyar Khan on Tuesday said that although he had several stints with the Pakistan cricket team in the past but he has never seen it better unified before as it is now under Misbah.

“I was a manager in 1999 and on other occasions. But I have never seen Pakistan cricket team better united before as it is now under Misbah-ul-Haq,” Shaharyar told reporters during team’s practice session in Lahore.
He added that big names doesn’t matters much and it is unity in the team, which propel it in big tournaments. “A united and coherent effort is what actually helps a team gain success.”
Shaharyar further said that neither the board asked Misbah to step down after World Cup nor it would ask him to stay in the limited overs.
“It is up to Misbah whether he chooses to stay or retire. But the good thing is he will be with the team in Tests where the team needs his experience,” he added.

Meanwhile, Misbah also clarified that there was no pressure on him from the board to retire from ODIs and T20Is after the World Cup.
